Brand fusion for the future of timber construction

OVERVIEW

Wood meets concrete – The family-owned and traditional company MüllerBlaustein, a leading expert in timber construction, becomes part of the Geiger Group. With the founding of the new 'Geiger Holzsystembau' division, we faced the task of developing a strategy that would keep both brands independent and at the same time leverage synergies. The result is clear brand communication, a revised corporate design, and a modern redesign of the website based on TYPO3.

CHALLENGE

The central challenge lay in bringing together two established brands that stood for seemingly contradictory values in the construction sector: wood and concrete. In addition, the müllerblaustein brand had to continue to appear strong and independent in order to preserve the trust in timber construction that had grown over decades. At the same time, the company faced the challenge of acquiring new projects and attracting qualified employees. Both aspects were taken into account by us in the strategy and in the entire communication to make the brand future-proof and attractive.

SOLUTION

In a joint brand workshop, we developed a clear strategy that does justice to both companies. The affiliation with the Geiger Group became part of the MüllerBlaustein logo, and the brand communication received a modern, concise look through the revision of the corporate design. We staged MüllerBlaustein in a high-profile manner across numerous touchpoints – from brochures and construction site and vehicle equipment to the trade fair appearance at BAU.

The website also received a new look and was converted to the user-friendly content management system TYPO3 to ensure an optimal user experience.

At the same time, we developed a cross-media employee campaign to increase the attractiveness of the company on the job market.

RESULT

The new brand strategy strengthens müllerBlaustein's presence and leads to a clear positioning within the Geiger Group and the new Geiger Holzsystembau division. The new website and the employee campaign have already led to a significant increase in project inquiries and applications. With a clear focus on target group-centered communication and user-friendliness, müllerblaustein has created a strong foundation for further growth.
